Lasting value

The lasting of Scania engines is the result of a number of features.
Advanced turbo-intercooling and injection techniques. High quality lube oil cleaning and cooling are both features providing long engine life. Further-more all Scania engines have a special cylinder liner and piston arrangement.

Advantage

The advantages are obvious: a safe response to high and continuous loads. Further, an out standingly low lube oil consumption, down to 0.3 G/k Wh (0.2g/hph), means not only savings in operation expenses, but is also a contribution to a cleaner environment, reducing hydrocarbon and particulate emissions.

Long Service Life

Long service life is a part of Scania value and clean lube oil is an important factor in preserving the assets. Scania’s cyclone centrifugal oil cleaner and oil filter elements is justify renowned, for unsurpassed efficiency.

Seperated Cylinder Head

All Scania engine have anodized pistons for fatigue resistance for service and maintenance easy. Further, the DC12 & DC 16 engines has four valves per each cylinder; two inlet valve and two exhaust valve.

Fuel Consumption
Scania new engines are highly respected for being easy on fuel. Low fuel consumption is an economical saving. The cold inlet/injection side and the exhaust side of the engine improves fuel consumption and emission control.
